Heading into Homecoming weekend, the Iowa State Football team was facing a less-than-ideal 11 A.M. kickoff time. The Cyclones’ ticket team decided they had to use additional resources to help move as many tickets as possible so that they could fill their stadium for the Homecoming matchup vs. Texas Tech.
The first offer the team sent out to the database was for Upper-Level Sideline tickets at $30. After a couple days, that inventory sold out, so then a second offer for Upper-Level West End tickets at $15 was sent out. By the end of the campaign, 1,126 tickets were sold for a total of $17,947 revenue generated. With Iowa State’s 3,235 opted-in users, these results were staggering. Nearly 15% of the database were converted to a transaction.
